about Rachelle
I’m Rachelle Roberts, a registered dietitian specializing in the treatment of disordered eating and the full spectrum of eating disorders.
In 2012 I graduated from the University of Alberta with a BSc in Nutrition and Food Science, dietetics major. At first I wasn’t sure if I was cut out to be a dietitian - I seriously thought about quitting during my internship! But fast forward a few years and I landed a job in an eating disorders clinic and it finally felt like the right fit for me.
It’s been many years working in this field but I am still learning new things all the time. I am grateful for what this work has taught me about the world of emotions, which has had a positive impact in my own life. I am also grateful for the human connection it involves - I love getting to know my clients and each of their unique worlds and personalities.
I am a firm believer in a non-dieting approach; instead we will focus on developing nourishing habits that support long-term health. The only way it will be sustainable is if it works for you, and my goal is to help you figure out what that looks like. The end result is typically a little different for everyone, but there are some tried and true foundational steps to get there (don’t worry, we won’t be going over the food guide and I won’t be telling you to follow more food rules!).
If you’re ready to work with me, use the contact form to get in touch. I look forward to working with you.
I live in Nanaimo on beautiful Vancouver Island. I enjoy travelling (especially for the food…Italy, I’m looking at you), hiking, snowboarding, making old things new again, and watching foreign films. I also enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and two adorable kitties Jack + Melo.
